Testimonials

“I highly endorse Dr. Lawrence-Hughes' coaching sessions. In 2020, she created small group coaching sessions for K-12 educators in UCLA's Women's School Leadership Academy. Enthusiastic feedback from participants indicated that Dr. Lawrence-Hughes provided tools that they found helpful to their own practice in schools and districts."

Linda Rose, Ph.D.

Director, UCLA Women's School Leadership Academy

Dorine offered a workshop on followership for undergraduates in our leadership fellowship program. From the outset, she had students engaged in a collective followership experiment using sheets of paper and ended with some big embodied questions like "What kind of leader can I be to attract the kind of followers I want?" She was an intuitive facilitator, balancing a presentation that showcased her deep base of leadership research with discussion questions that were relevant to our fellows. Each activity was thoughtful and engaging and absolutely responsive to the Zoom fatigue that our students experienced this semester. As she wrapped up her session, my first thought was "we need to offer this again next semester"! I recommend Dorine as a facilitator and speaker without hesitation.
